Three colts filled in the next three spots. Highest among them was a Milwaukee Brew—My Chanel colt consigned by Griffin Place, LLC, agent for partners Melissa Martin and Lynne Kelsey which was purchased by R & R Warren, LLC for $60,000. Just the day before, the Olympia-based Ron and Rosalie Warren saw their 2005 WTBA summer sale purchase Jamaica Bound finish second in the $100,000 Emerald Downs Derby.

Howard Belvoir signed the ticket for Lou Tice, who went to $55,000 to purchase the Benchmark colt out of stakes-placed and graded stakes producer Mstoyou from the consignment of Ben-Ben Farms, agent.
